2014 Sports Technology Awards

Sport Session Planner has been unveiled as one of the finalists for the 2014 Sports Technology Awards, (Best Support Technology for Managers and Coaches) it was announced on 14 March.

The awards ceremony, held at the Brewery In London on 4th April, is the leading awards ceremony celebrating Sports Technology across the world. Commenting on the award, Graham Shapiro, CEO of GSD® and Director of Design at SSP said “Over the last 18 months huge amounts of development has gone into our product to make sure it’s what coaches need. It’s an honour to have been shortlisted for such a prestigious award, our second for SSP in 6 months.”
Entries for the Sports Technology Awards have been received from all over the world including: Austria, Holland, Finland, Turkey, Italy, South Africa, USA & Australia. The shortlisted companies are an intriguing mix of technology companies, sporting bodies and clubs as well as large global brands. Just some of those involved include: Adidas, BT Sport, Continental, Opta, O2, Vodafone, BBC Match of the day, Turkish Airlines, Sky Sports, William Hill, Wilson, the R&A and IBM.

Judges include Sir Clive Woodward OBE, Ben kay MBE and Tessa Sanderson CBE.
The Awards have been launched to recognise the increasingly important role that technology plays in sport and the positive impact of advances from the perspective of officials and players as well as spectators. These Awards present the opportunity to celebrate excellence and acknowledge successful technological innovation across all aspects of the sports sector.
